Emily & Matt were Rehoboth Beach lifeguards when they began dating. They romanced on benches at the lifeguard station and during hot days watching tourists swim in the ocean. So what’s more fitting than a wedding at the beach. They got married in Historic Lewes with a beautiful reception overlooking the water at the Lewes Yacht Club. A long dirt path through trees and small hills, big open green spaces, and a beautiful historic home full of stories and family photos invited me into the setting of Abby & JB’s wedding. I had met Abby and her family for the first time in Bethany Beach while photographing her brother’s wedding a few years previous. There’s something very special about being able to photograph a bride at home with her family. The walls seem to speak to me and every little detail tells me a story. Here’s an intimate look at Abby & Jb’s wedding as they start their own new story.

Candice & Micheal met me in a Starbucks last year to talk over some cups of joe about their wedding. I could tell right away that they were the YING to each other's YANG. We talked about their romance in Chicago and their plans for a wedding here at the beach. About a year later, I met them again at the Rehoboth Art League a few days before their wedding to look at the ceremony location and what was in store for the day. It was in this moment that I realized how TALL they were, or how short I am (insert laughter here). It was clear this was going to be a beautiful wedding full of class, pure joy, and just plain love. With a garden ceremony and beach front reception at The Big Chill Beach Club, this wedding did not disappoint!
